The October 23 monthly pilot release migrates the KerML and SysML v2 language and API implementations from LGPL to the Eclipse Public License (EPL), aligning with the broader Eclipse MBSE tooling ecosystem. The Beta 2 specification documents for KerML 1.1, SysML 2.1, and the Systems Modeling API 1.1 carry forward; language implementation details are in the linked Pilot Implementation release.

OpenSysML v0.10.0 ships the Runtime Environment and Development Kit with diagrams, exact arithmetic, and full multi-language client coverage.

The first minor release (~250 PRs) introduces action, state-machine, and interconnection diagrams, a new -migrate verb for SysML v1 conversion, exact-rational arithmetic, CSV/JSON data import, and a Jupyter kernel with JupyterLab 4. Go, Python, Node, Java, Rust, Julia, and MATLAB/Octave clients now cover the full service; a follow-up patch v0.10.1 (October 16) closed 211 SonarCloud findings and tightened name-resolution semantics.

JPL paper proposes a unified V&V activity schema to replace a decade of fragmented verification practices across mission types.

Vierlboeck et al. at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory document how diverging V&V practices created fragmentation and knowledge-transfer overhead, then present a schema built through workshops with 29 practitioners that consolidates five verification methods under a shared attribute set. The schema is formalized as a platform-agnostic SysML model linked to requirements, venues, and evidence, and has been piloted in JPL's Jama platform.
